This week I worked with the group to finish integrating all the mini game sinto the main project file. All games have been successfully integrated with the exception of the Oxygen Run platform mini game. Sounds have been added and art assest are being polished up. The next week will be focusing on polishing the game all up.
The last few week I have finished the coding for the mix and match game. I figured out why I was having trouble with a text score, and added score to the game. Now I am working with my group to integrate all the elements of the game. I am also adding music and sounds to the game.
This week I took over the Mix and Match mini game from a fellow team mate because he was having a hard time with his current work. So I lightened his load because I have completed most of my assignmnets. I also started to change the main menu around and update the art to make it look better and follow the over all theme of the project. I will be finishing up the mix n match game in the next few days and then continuing to update art and start implementation of other peoples mini games in to the main project.
This week we had our alpha presentation of what we developed so far. Ive added more art to the game as well as adding sounds. So far I was able to add a looping background music to the main menu, a correct chime for the quiz, a incorrct chime, a heart beat sound when you click buttons on the main menu, and a button sound while you are going through the storyline.
Added the quiz game at the end of the story of chaptain heart. Added the story for Captain Heart and am currently working on adding some of the art work to the game. Had a problem with my score variable it would not output correctly but I had to embed the font and then it was working fine. TImes New Roman still didnt work though so I had to switch the font to Arial. For this week I'm going to continue to work on adding art to the game. Then start adding the Super Brain story. On top of this I need to add some information to the website and create a test plan for everything I have worked on so far. Our groups alpha presentation is next week and a power point needs
Due to going on a little mini vacation last weekend with my family I was not able to accomplish as much as I would have liked. I have caught up with must of my school work and have been working on a menu system for the Captain Heart game which I will up load on my page. Right now its pretty bare not alot of art work on it. It is just the basic menu so the start buttons for the Captain Heart Story and the Super Brain story do not work yet. All other buttons work but I'm not sure how the end button will work embedded in a website so that button may not work either, but it work in a stand alone window. Tomorrow I plan on working on either a quiz engine for the end of each game or I will be adding the Captain Heart story.
This week my group finished up our Game Design Document, and then did our statement of work. We divided the work up between our members. My job will be lead programmer which mean I will be in charge of making all the menu screens and basically making the blueprint of the game for the other people to add their work to. On top of this I will be making a mini game and working on the story. I am also the one in charge of updating the Website for our group. So as the project progress in addition to my person blog I will be adding information to the website about how the project is coming.
